Check here for updates to our group projects and study. We meet regularly once a month with more events between meetings. Our ongoing project is our personal study of the urban and wild forests of SW Colorado, between the high deserts of Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona, and the plateaus and mountains of Colorado. Our largest towns, Durango and Cortez have considerable urban forests with hundreds of mature trees and several parks. Durango is also home to Fort Lewis College with a large campus planted with many trees.

In addition to our personal study we will also make a referenced image collection of the trees around us. We will plan and carry our field trips locally and further afield, and we will hold community outreach events to promote knowledge and appreciation of our forests.
